Senior engineering for software that
can't afford to break

Fluxa Labs helps startups and growth-stage companies make the architecture, security, and scaling decisions that are expensive to get wrong — and builds the systems when you need them built.

Most software problems start as a bad call,

not bad code.

A shaky codebase can ship features for years without anyone noticing. The cracks only show when something pushes on it — a big launch, a traffic spike, a security scare, a bad week in the market.

By the time that happens, every shortcut taken early has quietly turned into something slow and expensive to undo.

That's the gap we fill: someone senior to weigh in before a problem becomes a crisis, and the hands to fix it if it already has.

01

Architecture that holds up

Built for what your business will actually throw at it, not just what it needs this quarter.

02

A straight answer

No product to upsell, no internal politics to manage. Just a senior read on what matters and where to go next.

03

We build to the same bar we set

When we write the code, we hold it to the standard we'd recommend to anyone else. No corners, no debt we knew we were leaving behind.

Two ways to work together

Need a second opinion or need it built? Same standard either way.

We work where the software actually matters.

Our clients run from first-time founders to scaling engineering teams. What they have in common: when they get a technical decision wrong, it costs them.

Seed to Series B

Funded Startups

You've raised, and the clock is running. Your infrastructure needs to carry the growth ahead instead of becoming the thing that holds you back.

CEO & Founder

Non-Technical Founders

You're running a software business without a technical co-founder or CTO. You need honest, jargon-free answers so you can make good calls and tell whether your team is actually delivering.

Fintech · DeFi · Trading

Fintech & Digital Asset Teams

Money systems don't forgive shortcuts. Payments, trading, custody, compliance — you want someone who's felt the weight of getting these wrong.

Technical Due Diligence

Companies Reviewing Vendors or Teams

You've got a feeling your vendor or outsourced team isn't delivering what you're paying for. You want a straight read from someone with nothing to sell you.

Growth & Scale

Teams Scaling Beyond Their Architecture

The system that got you to product-market fit is now the thing slowing you down. You need to modernize or rebuild it without hitting pause on the roadmap.

Fractional CTO

Founders Who Need a Senior Technical Partner

You want someone in the room for the technical calls — architecture, hiring, tooling, the hard trade-offs — without hiring a full-time CTO.

Different on purpose.
Not by accident.

Most companies don't fail for lack of developers. They fail because no one with enough scar tissue is making the calls that are hard to walk back.

We started Fluxa Labs to be that person in the room for the companies that need it most.

Learn more about us

Not a generic agency

We don't take every project. We stick to a handful of things we can do to a senior standard every time. That's a choice, and it's the point.

You talk to the person doing the work

No junior handoff, no bait-and-switch. The assessments and advice come from someone who's actually run systems like yours when they were under load.

We advise and we build

Because we do both, our advice stays grounded in what's actually buildable. And when there's work to do, you don't have to go find a second team to do it.

Advice that fits your business

Good architecture advice can't ignore the business behind it. We factor in your stage, your constraints, and where you're headed, not just what's textbook-correct.

No agenda

When you're sizing up a vendor, a team, or a decision, you need someone with nothing to sell. We're not steering you toward a product or a follow-on contract. We just tell you what we see.

We think in systems, not features

Scaling, reliability, observability, security — these aren't things we bolt on at the end. They're part of how we look at a system from the first day.

A clear method. No guessing.

Every engagement runs the same way, whether you're a solo founder or a team of fifty.

01
Assess

Get the real picture

We start by figuring out where things actually stand — not where you think they stand, and not a quick skim. We dig into the architecture, the code, how you ship, and how the team works before we form an opinion.

02
Clarify

Sort what matters from what doesn't

Not every issue is urgent, and not every fix is worth doing now. We tell you what actually deserves attention given your stage and your risk — not a generic best-practices checklist.

03
Prioritize

Lay out the order to do it in

You get a concrete plan: what to fix now, what can run alongside it, and what can wait. Something you'll actually use, not a deck that gets filed away.

04
Execute

Build it, and stand behind it

If we're building too, we hold our own work to the same bar we held yours to. Clear deliverables, steady communication, and code that's ready for production.

Ready to start?

A short conversation is usually enough to figure out the right place to begin.

Common Questions

Questions we hear a lot.

Don't see yours? Send us a message. We answer every serious one ourselves.

Ask us directly

If you're not sure your codebase is keeping up with the business, you keep hitting the same performance problems, you're about to raise, or you're planning a big product push — an audit takes the guesswork out. You get a straight read on where things stand and what, if anything, needs attention. Not knowing usually costs more than finding out.

Yes, and it's some of the most useful work we do. Non-technical founders often need the clearest, most honest picture of all, minus the jargon and the vendor spin. We put the technical reality in plain terms so you can make the call with confidence, even if you're not the one writing the code.

Yes — that's exactly what the Vendor and Team Audit is for. We give you an independent read on what your team or vendor is really delivering: code quality, engineering discipline, how fast they ship, and where the risk sits. So you're not relying on the people you're trying to evaluate to grade themselves.

Both. Our Engineering and Delivery work covers critical software design, platform architecture, modernization, rescue sprints, and focused build projects. The catch is that we only take on work where we can hold it to the same standard we'd recommend to anyone else. We don't do commodity dev work.

Systems where reliability, performance, and getting it right actually matter: backend platforms, financial systems, data pipelines, trading infrastructure, APIs, and distributed systems. We've worked hands-on in fintech, digital assets, and high-throughput transactional environments where failure has a real price tag.

Yes. Fractional CTO Advisory gives you ongoing senior technical leadership without the full-time cost. We work directly with founders and leadership on the big technology calls — evaluating vendors and hires, shaping the architecture, and keeping your technical spend pointed at where the business is going.

Advisory work like the Technical Health Check or Architecture Review is fixed-scope and lands in five to fifteen business days. Fractional CTO advisory is a monthly arrangement with a three-month minimum. Engineering sprints run two to six weeks depending on scope. What we won't do is sell you an open-ended retainer with no clear end in sight.

Our deepest experience is in fintech, digital assets and trading infrastructure, B2B SaaS, and data-heavy platforms. We also work with growth-stage startups in other industries when the software needs to catch up to what the business is trying to do.
